Kathleen Parker - Who will stand against Uganda's brutal anti-gay law? - washingtonpost.com

More outrage from Kathleen Parker of the Washington Post on the hideous, no - the mind altering law that will execute gay persons in Uganda.

Parker points to the fact that due to the “crisis fatigue” of the American people, this story is having the same impact as a “weather report.”

Parker says the corrupt Politicians can bank on the American people to have short, very short attention spans, hence topics like this one are passed by.

But, Parker asks, and I would also ask this: “How exactly does the idea of executing gays evolve in a majority-Christian nation?”

Unfortunately, my take on the answer to this question falls squarely on this truth: some Christian believers feel that being gay is anti-everything, and most assuredly anti-Christian.  Of course, what these anti-everything Christians don’t realize is that their “act” and their re-“action” is what begs the question.  If I were feeling cynical today, and I am feeling that way, I would say they are all just sick and twisted people.  There, I said it.

Rick Warren gave a statement to Newsweek (the link is in Kathleen Parker’s story) in which he basically said he will “…not interfere in the political process of another nations.”  He also said, in regards to this law: “… our right to be free, and the freedom to make moral choices are gifts endowed by God, our creator.”

MORAL CHOICES???? WTF?  Genocide is moral????
